EASE OF USE

MYCUBE with Large Deflector Shield

MYCUBE with Optional Large Deflector Shield

Loading

  • Can be loaded on vehicle by a couple very easily because of lighter weight (can be less than 40kgs, typically 50kgs, Star System 60kgs))

  • Can use virtually any multi-vehicle roof rack attachment systems

Travelling

  • Is low profile at less than 350mm total height and aerodynamic so that drag created that reduces fuel economy loss is minimal
  • Ladder mechanism is light and telescopic to minimise space.
  • The ladder is integrated and stored in mycube in the 350mm height.

  • Can be fitted to low profile roof racks that are close to roof of car for integrated “low profile”

  • Footprint matches the approx roof size of small vehicle like Honda CRV or Toyota RAV 4

Opening

  • Cover zips opens in minutes and unit unfolds by holding end of ladder and then pulling ladder to the ground.
  • The “frog mouth” entrance is pulled open and the sliding extension supports locked in.
  • The roof “bows” are extended upward and locked off. The elastic cord system that “pulls” the roof in when closing is released.
  • The window cover extention rods are pushed out and locked in (from inside)
  • Ready for bed!

Camping

  • Ladder is under cover all the time to minimise slip from water
  • The ladder has the optional LED light above it so access at night is safe

  • Safety strap fitted inside so that at the top of the ladder, the strap can be held while entering mycube.

  • Side windows have automatic opening of weather protection covers on the outside. The side windows “zip up” from inside so that it is easy to seal the unit in wet weather from the inside.

  • Living: Entrance area has PVC surround to hold boots and other personal items away from bed.

  • The entrance opening can be zipped closed at top of ladder from inside or outside.

  • The side windows and entrance opening have “midge” proof screens sewn as standard. These screens are proven in Australian conditions. The Side windows give a clear view outside form the bed if inside window flap is open.

  • The tropical roof has eyelets mid section so in high winds (greater than 30knots) the roof can be tied down to give a tighter and firmer support to overall tent.

  • Flooring material on roof rack is designed to give maximum insulation on underside of mattress. The material is honeycomb alloy with air trapped in the honeycomb pockets.

  • The Optional Dilectric Membrane Heater is an industry first and is fixed between the mattress and the flooring material. It has a 12V connection and a timer / controller inside. It uses just 1amp of power.

  • Available store in front deflector shield for cover (limited space so light weight and compact items needed)

  • Shoe storage located just as you climb up so that muddy boots stay off bed

  • Optional LED lights in roof as well as top of ladder and reading lights. All powered by self contained AGM battery and solar panel. Battery is in front pod and can be charged with cigarette lighter adaptor from car or with solar panel.

  • Option of Tropical Roof improves insulation and weather protection.

Storage

  • Can be stored on long narrow side in an “upright” position to minimise storage space and be able to be moved around by one person.
