Star Awning System use

Video will be published early April 2009

MYCUBE Star Awning System Use

To operate the Star Awning:

  • Star Awning can travel on back of MYCUBE OR it can be easily removed and stored in the vehicle (a single locking pin and 2 Bunji straps to remove)
  • Undo the cover
  • Move the folding Arm to the Rear Position, rotate and place in D shape Locking Pin.
  • Open out Awning arms, twist each aluminium arm to lock in the extended postition
  • Attach the 2 end arms to the edge of your MYCUBE
  • Velcro the intermediate awning section beetween the Star Awning and MYCUBE
  • DONE. For low wind (up to say 15knots) we have found we dont need any vertical poles, however depending on the wind gusts, 2 vertical poles can be easily added and if necessary pegged down. When we did use the poles, we didnt peg down and used the natural pressure from the awning to hold the poles.

The coverage area is Star shaped semi circle across the rear of the vehicle of 1800mm radius and the area under the MYCUBE floor to give an area under cover of 8.6sq metres. That’s nearly the equivalent of a 3m x 3m tent.
The design is a highly efficient space with the feeling of a comfortable room
